Tuomariesittely 2026
I have been actively involved with Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 1987, jointly owning and exhibiting the breed with my husband and long-time family friend, Lena Piehl, who joined Kiromol in 2009. Our kennel affix was granted in 1992, and we bred our first litter in 1994.
The kennel name Kiromol was created from the names of the dogs we owned at the time: Ki from Kim (our foundation bitch), Rom from Roma (our Segugio Italiano), and Ol from Ollie (our second male Rhodesian Ridgeback).
Since that time, we have so far bred fourteen Champions across several countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States of America, and Canada. Our kennel has been awarded Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts on seven occasions thus far.
I have had the honour of awarding Challenge Certificates in the United Kingdom on six occasions, with a further appointment scheduled this year. My judging experience also includes appointments in Holland, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, the Czech Republic, and Norway.
In addition to judging, I am an active committee member of the Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Association. We currently own seven Rhodesian Ridgebacks, all bred by ourselves, and remain closely involved with the breed on a daily basis.
I particularly like to see good, ground-covering movement. As an endurance hound, the Rhodesian Ridgeback must be able to cover ground efficiently and go on all day if necessary. I firmly believe that if a Ridgeback moves correctly, he is made correctly.
My long-standing commitment to the Rhodesian Ridgeback, both as a breeder and a judge, is founded on a deep respect for the breed standard, soundness, temperament, and true breed type. I am very much looking forward to this judging appointment for the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Finland. I am very much looking forward to my forthcoming judging appointment for the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Finland and feel both honoured and privileged to be invited to assess this wonderful breed.
Kindest regards,
Liz
